Anavar is a very good choice for the promotion of strength and quality muscle mass gains, hovewer it's a mild steroid which makes it less ideal for bulking purposes. Bodybuilders most commonly use it during cutting phases of training when water retention is an issue. It will not convert to estrogen at any dosage. It is a versatile, multi-purpose steroid with very low toxicity, which makes safe.

It is usually combined with steroids like Primobolan and Winstrol to give a harder, more defined look without added water retention. Such stacks are very popular and can dramatically enhance the physique for contests. With a high protein diet to insure its effectiveness, it makes the muscles hard and ripped. Because Oxandrolone is only slightly toxic and usually shows minimal side effects or none at all, most athletes use it for a prolonged period of time. Although Oxandrolone itself will not break down fat, it has an indirect role in this process because it often suppresses the athlete's appetite.
